Rides:
Tuesday: Thought I would die under the heat at the Prescott Dells Slickrock trail. Really fun, physically demanding 5 minute loops in full armor under a direct sun amongst hot rocks at low speeds and no breeze. The heat took its toll after about an hour, and I had to sit and simply cool off before I could ride the final 5 minutes back to the car. Not a good feeling to sit in the shade and feel your heart taching along mainly due to heat. Pushed it too far.
These trails have great potential, but are very short so far.
Wednesday: Up at 0400, ride to hospital, ride other way to Surgery center, do 15 cases, ride home. Ride time about 1.5 hours
Saw this on the way out. First time to use the lights since putting them away for summer.
Thursday: Up at 0430, ride to hospital, morning meeting at 0600, then ride to office at 0800 Ride time about 45 minutes.
Friday: Ride to hospital for another 7 cases or so.
Saturday: Rest, finally, thankful for the Sabbath
Sunday: 0515 start up 305, up 297, and down the Ranch trail. 3000 feet climbing, 18 mile loop. Good ride for the big bike and fun to do with Chris and Dan. Sucks always being the weakest rider in a group.
That's it, I'm just busy enough. Any more and I go into the red line.

I used to always be the weakest climber in the group. Not any more. It has been an interesting year.
It is always tough to balance out life's demands...family, church, work, fitness. Balance is a fragile thing and easily broken.
