This is a vid of me hopping a couple of logs on Bill Williams mtn this Spring. At the time it felt like a huge hop, especially at the slow speed. It is nothing on vid. I like the shorter stays for this stuff.

That is sweet. I totally lack any finesse in doing that. Generally I power my way through it. If I try to hop it, my front wheel comes down too soon right into the side of the log and I endo.
Between hopping logs and manualing (sp?) off anything higher than 2 feet, I've wrecked obscene numbers of rims and fractured ribs.

Hopping logs is something easier if you lift a little, hit the log with the front wheel and use the sproing to get yourself over it.
I was very nervous about this one. I think because I didn't have a lot of time to get set up. It is actually fairly steep downhill as well.
Again, looks like nothing on video.
