Politics

I don't delve into politics much, but I totally agree with a couple of hard hitting Blog posts below:

1. Mrs. Palin is not a pro family choice. Yet, religious conservatives are falling all over themselves to support Mccain based on his VP choice.

2. Mccain has not fundamentally changed on his relatively hostile to life stance. Religious conservatives are really only supporting him because they are afraid Obama would be worse.

Where is our integrity and principal? Neither candidate gives a rip about unborn life. Neither will earn my vote this election.

The major political parties have effectively sidelined the believing and acting Christian vote at this point IMO. All they are paying is lip service to one of our major concerns. Certainly there are other issues that are important in this world, but they pale in importance to the slaughter occuring in the wombs of women throughout this country.

I don't blog about politics either, but you are making a mistake by abstaining your vote.

I hear this stated in religious circles and it makes poor sense. There are no perfect candidates, but no vote is a vote for Obama.

We are not voting for a pastor/mentor/religious teacher, this is the presindency of a country and there are other considerations than abortion (regrettably).

But I do understand where you are coming from.

Not sure how not voting says anything at all other then, "I'm taking my ball and going home."

Of course your vote is symbolic, but at least you'd be able to say you voted for the candidate who supported life more than the other guy.

Maybe I could vote for a third party who was pro life.

Unfortunately do not know who that might be.

Need to do some research.

I think both of you commenting have the typical outlook of most believers. I am not ready to compromise on the life issue in any way, however. Perhaps I'm more black and white than the typical evangelical.
