I spoke with him today. He sounded tired, and for the first time ever, probably down.
He is accumulating fluid in the brain since the usual pathway of CSF circulation has been disrupted by radiation, tumor, surgery, whatever. This is leading to swelling, and fairly severe headaches. Nothing dangerous yet, but they are planning another surgery on Monday to place a shunt to get the fluid out of his head. These are reasonably common, and basically are tubes with one way valves that go from the brain cavity, under the skin into the abdominal cavity.
He thinks he will be coming home on Wednesday of next week.
Anyway, I can tell he's suffering from the head ache, so keep him in your prayers.
Random thoughts.
