Mark Schultz

Heather and I got to see Mark Schultz in concert last night.

I am not usually a concert type person, especially with Christian artists/personalities, but he was really mind blowing. Great performer, great heart. I had many laughs and a few tears. Yeah, I know some of his songs are sappy, but they do touch you.

He's really very witty as well. I am astonished at the psychology of how a performer (or professor, or politician, or any speaker) is able to establish a rapport with their audience. It has to be done quickly to keep their attention, and win their ear/hearts. Anyway, this guy has the ability to do it is spades. We were eating out of his hands.

Plus, he rides. Not too well according to the video diary, which is fairly hilarious at times. This link is the ride into Prescott. Not to be missed is the Indio to Blythe segment where he learns about biking into the desert wind. Plus they play a lot of Coldplay in the video segments.

I'm bummed I did not get to ride with him up White Spar I had tentative plans to do it, and after the concert, really wish i had pursued them more diligently.

He is donating everything on this tour..ticket sales, CD and book sales, and his time to raise money for orphans.

If you get the chance, definitely take the time to see him in concert.
